All week, flocks of corellas (a type of white cockatoo found in australia) were filling the air and so was their screeching sound. They would frequently perch in trees and take off again, making everyone in the neighbourhood look outside their windows.

Cicadas recorded from my balcony in a melbourne suburb at night. Cyclochila australasiae, the sound they make is around 4. 3khz. Recording was done with a roland r-26 using built in omni mics, and noise was removed with izotope plugins.

Recorded with h4n pro with 90deg mic orientation in front of my house. I used diy deadcat, but you can still hear a little bit of wind rumble. Kinda relaxing sound tho.

The desolate, yet peaceful sound of leaves rushing across asphalt and wind in mid-december of 2016. Far off, in echo-land, wind-chimes add a touch of melancholy. The sound of a bright march morning featuring cardinals, robins announcing their territory, and wrens. The temperature was right at 50 degrees with no wind. I made this recording with my marantz pmd661 using two samson co-2 microphones. , pointed 180 degrees apart to gather as much sound as i could. The sound was sometimes a cacophony as it seemed all of the neighborhood birds were so happy that spring is finally here, many times they were all singing at once. !.
